Art and Ghosts is a shop and a blog created by UK based artist Louise Robinson who currently lives in a small yet sweet little village located on the outskirts of England. Her home is actually 160 years old but is extensively modernized throughout. Having only moved into the house recently the house itself and even much of the surrounding countryside still feel so very new to her, which something of a novelty is. All her images promise to inspire and delight all that view them. She has participated in many art exhibitions that have made her artwork to be very popular. Currently his art work can be found in many art galleries and with many private and corporate collectors. Louise’s work is almost dreamy, like a glimpse of a world one is not supposed to see when they are awake. Her most significant influences are drawn from mythology, fairytales, dolls, dreams, specters, and nature.
Louise’s initial venture into the visual arts began with a photographic diploma in her early 20s, which led her to an art foundation. She then pursued a Visual Arts BA Honors degree course. She had been very keen to make short films inspired by the stories that constantly grow inside of her head, but found herself distracted somewhere along the way! Her interests led her from photography to collage, then to painting, and finally into the realms of digital art. What she loves about this medium is how it enables her to combine all of her favorite media at once.
