A Native Oregonian, Tamara is a painter and mixed media artist who continuously evolves. She relies heavily on her imagination, without reference books or models and few outside influences. For her, painting has always been her way to escape the ordinary aspects of her life. She began painting exotic themes long before she had been exposed to Rivera, Gauguin and other great artists. Doing what she loves and believing in the power of art is what comforts and enriches her soul. Her portrayals of women are reflective, whimsical, and warm.
