Impala Art

One of the easiest to recognize African antelopes, the impala is inhabiting large parts of the continent and has two subspecies. Both the common impala and the blackface version are featured in Impala Art Wall Art at GreatArtNow.com, with the posters having a two-pronged effect. On one hand, they highlight the agility and sheer grace of this animal, on the other they provide art lovers with the means of bringing to life even the dullest interior.

Zoologist will have no problem in distinguishing between male and female impala by simply taking a look at the crisp Impala Art Wall Art. Only the former have the famous lyre shaped horns that can grow up to 36 inches and they are also slightly larger than the females. The impalas proved to be highly resourceful animals, capable of inhabiting savanna grasslands as well as woodlands, as long as they are conveniently located close to a water source.

Impala Art Wall Art depicts the animals as they perform the famous leaps, with impala being known to jump up to 10 feet. This dazzling display of agility fascinates the eye, but also has a deterring effect on predators who require a great deal of effort and perfect planning to catch impalas. Furthermore, the antelopes have a highly effective way of communicating, letting each other know about dangerous animals lurking around. Despite their ability to thrive in changing environments, excessive poaching and natural calamities had a negative impact on the blackface impalas, with the species being on a decline.
